“Tronco” hefty planks of solid mahogany, the bark still intact on the outsides and clean-cut on the internal face, propose a partial closure of Paesaggi Italiani. The geometric structure of the system remains partially exposed between these imposing ‘doors’. The wood, which comes from trees chosen in function of their natural life cycle from selectively cut, primeval forests, appears here in its full beauty, grain and knots exposed. Sawn and planed and treated with oils, it forcefully asserts its own naturalness.
