Itaida, designed with great balance and simplicity by Aitor García de Vicuña, is a point of reference in chairs for the contract channel. With a thermoformed wooden body of variable thickness (beech, oak or wengue) and various structures of glossy chromed steel tube and highly anatomical forms, its curvature was designed and tested repeatedly during the process to achieve the forms presented by the final product. Itaida incorporates an upholstered seat or wooden seat and backrest with polyurethane foam upholstered in a fabric from the Ofita range. Itaida consists of various models, both with and without arms, wide or narrow body, rotating and bench models. This is completed with steel structure tables with tops in phenolic laminate or frosted glass. Itaida has been designed to minimize the environmental impact of the production, use and disposal phases of its liefe-cycle, like the rest of the latest Ofita contract product range.
