Shadows also play a key role in Matégot’s designs. The Kangourou site table, for example, consists of two small tables, the smaller one sitting within the larger. When the tables are displayed together as one unit, light passes through, reflecting half-moon shadows onto the floor below, when standing separately, two full moons are reflected.
