How precise can light be?
As precise as you would like it to be.
How accurately can a precisely defined area be illuminated without the light encroaching on neighbouring areas? This exact question posed itself with regard to the car park at the HIT supermarket in Siegburg. A residential building is located in one corner of the area to be lit and it was forbidden to illuminate its façade.
ewo solved the problem by using an ewoReflect system: specially measured parts of the individual mirror facets were covered with a black matt paint thereby disabling the light reflection functionality. The project proves how feasible it is to precisely define the boundary of the light.
