The Wardrobe Program 030 is based on the idea that a practical wardrobe can be arranged out of from different combinations of elements. To this end perforated wall plates with screwable hooks, shelves or containers were already used in the Wardrobe Program 610 designed by Dieter Rams in 1961. Thomas Merkel acted on this principle and developed a multi-faceted easy-to-assemble system that can be integrated into nearly every environment. The special aspect of the Wardrobe Program 030 is the flat wall-oriented arrangement of the wardrobe. Hence possibilities were created even in narrow halls to sensibly store coats, jackets, hats, scarves, umbrellas, shoes, keys and much more.
