A lightweight chair whose concept and proportions evoke the Japanese tradition of Origami, taking its form from gentle folds, developed from a single die-pressed piece of curved ply. This stackable chair, visually analogous to the Ombra armchair, was designed in Japan in 1954 for the Synthèse des Arts exhibition (Le Corbusier, Férnand Léger, Charlotte Perriand). The aesthetic qualities determined by its distinctive traits of simplicity and graphic purity are an expression of the synthesis between gesture, form and technique, and are a perfect example of Charlotte Perriand's spirit.
