This speaker was the first rotating directional speaker offered to the public. The saran cloth cover of the Eames speaker was used as the upholstery on the first examples of the Aluminum Outdoor group seating. The Eames base on this speaker was initially utilized as the base for the rotating ottoman of the 1956 version of the Eames 670 lounge chair. All original example with original Stephens components. Manufacturer's paper label on back.
