This bed is part of the Domus Nova collection created by Ponti in 1928 and 1929. Stylistically the pieces in this collection are very similar to the works commissioned for the Schejola apartment and incorporated similar materials. Produced by La Rinascente, this line of modern furniture was developed for the middle class family, and incorporated furnishing for all the rooms of the home.
The three lots in this collection have been authenticated by the Gio Ponti Archives.
