A white building that is defined by its location on an embankment of the Rhine. A cube-shaped structure whose recesses, large areas of glazing, balconies, terraces and exposed roof beams create a sense of airiness and openness. Everywhere in the house, the Rhine and the garden becomes the backdrop to the interior, especially in the spacious double-height living area.
The internal layout has been designed to make the most of the topography of the location and the spectacular views where the outdoors becomes a fluid extension of the interior. At the same time, the house offers a sense of homely security and protection for the family.
Through the consistent, innovative use of renewable primary energies, building services are designed to be environmentally-friendly, sustainable and energy-saving using the latest technology.
