Mark Lee received his Bachelors in Architecture from University of Southern California and his Masters in Architecture from Harvard University. He has taught at the ETH in Zurich, UCLS in Los Angeles, and is currently a guest professor at the Technical University of Berlin.
Sharon Johnston received her Bachelors in History from Stanford University and her Masters in Architecture from Harvard University, and she has taught at SCI-Arc and UCLA in Los Angeles.

Mark Lee, MArch
Mark Lee is a principal of Johnston Marklee & Associates. Combining his academic and design expertise, Mark Lee conducts speculative research based on critical reassessments of architectural and urban design history. Developing theories on the urban development and housing at border cities, culture-specific topological landscapes, and new design strategies in material form and technology, he has written and lectured widely on his research. Mark Lee has taught at the Federal Institute of Technology (E.T.H.) in Zurich, at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA); where he has served as Vice Chair of the Department of Architecture and Urban Design, and is currently a guest professor at Technical University of Berlin.
Mark Lee received his Bachelors in Architecture from University of Southern California and his Masters in Architecture II from Harvard University.

Sharon Johnston is a principal of Johnston Marklee & Associates. She directs the design development of each project, engaging the firm’s conceptual approach to design with building and material methods, fabrication technologies, and construction techniques. In this capacity, she leads complex teams of collaborators including artists, fabricators and engineers on the development of innovative projects where cross disciplinary practices yield unexpected results.
