Last year´s Tom&Jerry stools paved the way for the development of a small range of quotidian furniture: the Tom&Jerry Family.
Each piece is made of solid beech wood in combination with a technical joint (in plastic or sheet metal) which is not only adding formal scope to the designs, but also helping to
economise/industrialise manufacturing.
The small three legged round table is closest to the original stools. It uses the identical joint of the stools which includes the characteristic plastic spindle for height adjustment. Another table, reminiscent of big rectangular work tables, uses plastic mouldings to join the four legs to a stirdy cross-beam. The table can be made in different lengths, tops can either be wood, HPL or glass.
Complementing the stools and tables with a third function is the Tom&Jerry shelving system. Built around simple wooden poles, which are leaning against the wall, the system can be extended to any number of vertical modules. The individual shelves are held inside sheet metal brackets which latch onto perforated battens on the backside of each pole which makes them height adjustable. The shelving elements are shipped flat pack, their assembly requires no tools!
