Springfield de Moroso

It´s Springfield the name given to Patricia Urquiola´s new collection, that Moroso will be presenting at Furniture Exhibition 2002. The idea of a sofa takes off by a concept of solid geome trical shapes (backrests, seats and arm rests), which give a considerable visual impact: even though they are combined by metallic buckles, these modules maintain due distances in order to bear freedom and independence amongst each other. Springfield is a great basic contemporary sofa: it goes well together in different circumstances; it´s comfortable and elegant and expresses signs of great design. The Springfield collection is completed with tables and carpets, having four different shades and designs. Perhaps, it is the memory of a natural, magical and serene landscape: the carpets gather their identity from the cultivated and plowed land, sofas emerge as close, but yet separate, elements and the tables create landscape points, just like small bridges among fields. Expressionism is a little wild in character, without rules, deconstructed and then reexamined, in order to have it recomposed and placed in a space, where, instead, rules do exist. The expository area gives the opportunity to live this landscape, just like a box, which contains a surprise: in it there´s the display of a masterpiece to breathe and listen to. An aim of a company route, that Moroso has decided to accomplish with Patricia Urquiola: Step, Lowland, Springfield, all recognizable by the common denominator of extremely personal design, and characterized by a unique constructive method and by the high quality materials utilized.

Collection SPRINGFIELD has completely removable covers. Leather version is fix.
Collection SPRINGFIELD is not available with pattern repeat fabrics.

Wooden frame covered with stress-resistant polyurethane foam at varied densities and polyester fiber. Polypropilen feet.

The feet of the small armchair (cod. 061) are in aluminium. The new color of cover for jointing device in black.

Tables:
Lacquered top in "Honeycomb" aluminium panel. Available colors: white, black, red and grey.
Seat cushions are in goose down with polyurethane foam core at varied densities combined with polyester fiber.

Back cushion are in goose down only.
