The ambition was crystal clear when R. Randers A/S gave Friis & Moltke Design the task: Create a piece of furniture for waiting areas with multifunctional elements, at the same time, give it a beautiful visual expression, minimizing the space it occupies in passing areas and make the furniture strong enough to endure severe contract use.
The task has been solved in the most optimal way: introducing the modular furniture series SeatDown which has already been sold into several large hospitals during the developmental stage. Friis & Moltke has created a modular furniture series for waiting areas for wall fixing or freestanding use. SeatDown appears in an elegant yet simple design and has been specifically developed for use where there is a large demand for hygiene, cleaning, seat comfort as well as resistance to wear and tear

The SeatDown modular series is exceptionally flexible. The individual seat may be equipped with or without arms and the table can be separated from the seats with arms. Furthermore, the wall-mounted self-tipping seats are reduced to only 32 cm in depth. The modules are easy to rebuild or extend with more seats. For instance the table can be replaced with a seat, arms can be added or removed, and SeatDown can be extended indefinitely. The width of each module is 60 cm, available with and without arms as well as with side table, enabling it meet the individual clients needs. SeatDown appears in an elegant yet simple design and has been specifically developed for use where there is a large demand for hygiene, cleaning, seat comfort as well as resistance to wear and tear.The construction and hanging principle provides free access for cleaning under the wall fixed elements. The metal surfaces are powdered with knock-proof lacquer; the detachable seat cover is made in fabrics with high hygienic demands.
