Legends of carpets
Walter Knoll is presenting its first carpet collection. Together with fabric designer Helmut Scheufele, the company has created a collection of nine top-flight carpets. They extend the furnishing excellence of the brand: with traditional craftsmanship, lasting materials and modern design. Inspired by Africa, hand-crafted in Nepal – the carpet collection shapes modern interiors. “The carpets take us back to the origins of interiors and man’s basic need for security while he sits and sleeps,” says Markus Benz, CEO and Managing Director of Walter Knoll AG & Co. KG. “Special pieces of contemporary carpet art are crafted under ecologically sustainable and socially responsible conditions in certified workshops in Nepal.”

Salama works thanks to its harmonious colours. The materials are also balanced out: the deep-pile carpet consists of virtually equal proportions of wool from the Tibetan highlands, nettle fibres and silk.
