Mac Gee de Cerruti Baleri

A name from Ubik, the novel by Philip K.Dick that fascinated Starck, for another of the brilliant and timeless creation of his early career. A collapsible object, a bookshelf that becomes an inclined upright, with an airplane’s wing profile, to be leaned casually against the wall. The shelves are set into the upright and project on both sides, thus softening the shape into more familiar tones, almost to look like a ladder, an “objet trouvé” modified into a bookshelf.

Modular bookshelves in steel sheet with epoxy finish in matt black, white and metallic silver. A central upright supports five shelves of decreasing depth. It is designed to create an extended bookcase by lining up two or more units.
