softwall is a freestanding partition that can be expanded and contracted to freely shape intimate space within larger open space. softwalls can be fanned open to just over 5000mm (16.5’) in length, or smaller dimensions as desired, due to the flexible nature of the structure. For efficient storage and shipping, softwall can be compressed in “length” to a remarkably small dimension of less than 50mm (2”) and then folded in half like a blanket! softwall is available in standard and custom heights of up to 3050mm (10’) tall. softwalls are available in paper and textile variations, in translucent white and opaque black. The cellular honeycomb structure of softwall also serves to dampen sound. Recognized for its poetic and pragmatic beauty and innovation, softwall has been acquired by the MoMA in New York for their permanent collection. molo was selected as a winner of the International INDEX:Award 2005, hosted by Denmark, for softwall and the evolving concepts of soft.

Like all softwalls, kraft paper softwall can readily expand to form a highly functional and flexible freestanding partition of anywhere between 2000mm to 5000mm in length (6.5’ – 16.5’). It is identical in form and utility to the 1830mm tall kraft paper softblock, except that it does not have end panels with magnetic connectors that are inherent to the softblock system of components, and as such it is intended to be used as a stand alone partition.

kraft paper softwall is strong and highly robust, being made of a heavy weight paper with long fibres. Although durable and economical, kraft paper softwall is heavier and stiffer than the other versions of softwall, and thus while it compresses flat for storage and transport, it does not fold in half like paper and textile softwalls.

Paper softwall feels light and airy, whereas kraft paper softwall has a strong, grounded presence that is enhanced by its earthen colours. kraft paper softwall is robust, easy to use, and like paper softwall can be dusted, or lightly vacuumed with a brush handle, but should not be allowed to get wet.

kraft paper softwall is 100% recyclable, and is flame retardant.
