With its flat, angular luminaire head which allows no compromises, the KAREA free-standing luminaire proves to be truly in keeping with the times. No superfluous edges or joints interrupt the luminaire's uncluttered, reduced design by Da Costa & Wolf - an example of discreet elegance right down to the base.

However, KAREA scores not only in terms of design, but also with its technology. The integrated SensControl lighting management system uses a daylight sensor to provide the working plane with the individually required quantity of light. The adjustable presence detector checks the task area and switches the luminaire on or off - according to requirements and without any manual intervention. This results not only in a remarkable improvement of user friendliness, but also in a significant reduction of energy consumption.

Optionally, SensControl is also available in an LCD version including a small display, which on the one hand provides information on the set values and functions, and on the other hand makes it considerably easier to adjust the luminaire individually.
