The architect Carlo Colombo has created the very latest “Intrecci” collection, a complete set of outdoor furniture designed for Emu. It is an original reinterpretation of classic interwoven metal, which has always been the highest expression of Emu’s technological expertise.

The project offers a complete collection, a system that can meet every need for combinability and modularity, projected toward both the retail and contract markets: armchairs and sofas of various sizes, hassocks and a large white table with a metal top (110 x 270 x 75), for infinite furniture combinations.

Welded tubular steel and steel rod frame. Back and seat cushions have removable covers. The seat cushions are made from a tubular metal internal structure in order to give volume and avoid great thicknesses, together with elastic belts to give greater softness to the seat. The cushion padding is in polyurethane foam combined with 100% acrylic fabric and resinate. The back cushions are made from 100% acrylic fabric and resinate. All of the cushions have removable covers. The armchair can be converted into a 2- or 3-seat sofa by adding a central extension. The collection is modular, thus the cushions are the same for armchairs and sofas: 1, 2, 3, or 4 cushions are used to make up the seat, depending on the whether it is a chair or sofa. All have adjustable feet.
