Guestlight is an innovation which is specially designed for the needs of guests. When it’s dark it is difficult for guests to find their way around in strange surroundings. Guestlight is a bedside lamp and at the same time helps people to orient themselves. Because it is fitted with a battery Guestlight can be removed from the mains electrical connection and used as a torch. The lampshade copies the outline of the cone of light and at the same time serves as the stand for the lamp. In addition the lamp can be placed in many other positions, for example with the lampshade facing forwards and backwards. The selection of material is especially appealing: the body of the lamp, which is based on the dimensions of a torch, is made of hardwood and fits snugly in the hand. The present design was preceded by a number of preliminary studies based on "objets trouvées".
