Drumbox de Foscarini

Drumbox is ultimately versatile. Every detail has been designed to this end. Drumbox is a floor lamp, suspension lamp and hook-on lamp all at the same time. It can be positioned freely, wherever required, or even in multiples on a single stem.

The special feature of Drumbox is the new use of hi-tech fashion fabrics normally seen in technical clothing. This lamp is an expression of Diesel's expertise in producing materials and fabrics and in providing truly unique combinations. In terms of form, Drumbox is suggestive of lamps used on photography sets. The front of the lamp is made from naturally crinkled coated linen; a highly technical and reflective material that is both warm and striking when illuminated. The back section of the lamp is made from rip-stop nylon; a strong, extremely light, technical nylon with a special texture. The zippered seams, in contrasting black are heat set; a special treatment borrowed from diving gear. Even the most technical and functional details of Drumbox become decorative and stylish!

Drumbox comes in two colour variants: white with futuristic fluorescent yellow accents - for a light, luminous effect; and grey (is there another contrasting colour here? - that casts a diffuse light that more obviously reveals the light source. A young, super casual lamp in true Diesel style.
