From ideas of architects, planners and designers we produce furniture pieces and fitted furniture with wood and wood in combination with other materials in a way that could hardly or not at all be made industrially.

History

1928
Röthlisberger Schreinerei AG is today's legal company name of the cabinet makers that exists since 1928 and is now run by the third generation

1951
Foundation of the collective company "Soltermann und Röthlisberger", furniture and construction joinery with two workers and one apprentice.

1958
Start of production for Knoll International.

1960
Start of the HE-programme [Hans Eichenberger].

1963
Foundation of the company "Ernst Röthlisberger".

1972
Start of the production of Standard 90.

1975
Cancellation of the Knoll production, which is being transferred to France and Italy by its new owners.

1977
Foundation of "Röthlisberger Kollektion", the 1. edition is brought to being by assistance of Teo Jakob, Robert Haussmann, Koni Ochsner and Ueli Wieser and introduced to the Swiss furniture market.

From 1978
Regular appereances at the fairs in Cologne and Milan.

1979/1982
Presentation of the 2. und 3. edition in Gümligen.

1984
Conversion to the collective company "Ernst Röthlisberger und Co.", later to the present joint-stock company "Röthlisberger Schreinei AG".

From 1987
Continuous investments in new technologies.

2002
Opening of the new company building.
