January 2014 | Serial uniqueness
interlübke bases its expertise in industrially manufactured premium products on three pillars: high-quality individual pieces of furniture, compatible system programmes and custom builds for interior fittings – from a portfolio including numerous new items.
For the opening of imm cologne 2014 the long-established, international system furniture manufacturer is surprising dealers and consumers with two product premieres for living and sleeping: the innovative shelf system grid (designed by Gil Coste + Holger Janke) and the upholstered bed mell and a delicate cabinet system of the same name (designed by Markus Jehs + Jürgen Laub). The successful design classic studimo (shelf system, initial design 1977, team form ag) is to be aesthetically and functionally enhanced by a new gliding door system. The fusion of the wardrobe classics S07 and 40S (designed by Rolf Heide + Peter Kräling) has produced the "master programme" collect – a unique, universally plannable storage space concept for use throughout the house.
Shout it from the rooftops!
Since the company was founded in 1937, the manufacturer has specialised in producing high-end furniture of consummate craftsmanship. The 'special factory for polished bedrooms' has evolved into a modern industrial enterprise with exemplary vertical integration. Each serially produced model facilitating an architecturally orientated furnishing style is a unique piece.
"The claim 'serial uniqueness' sums up our characteristic qualities and strengths," explains Managing Partner Leo Lübke. "In addition, we are sharpening our new focus on the premium brand and its unique features. Our system furniture expertise produces not only excellent individual pieces of furniture and coherent furnishing concepts for complete installations, but also tailored custom builds for interior fittings."
Smart and efficient
interlübke already began scrutinising and optimising all of its manufacturing processes two years ago in its 75th anniversary year. Since the relaunch of the company in January 2013 with a streamlined portfolio, two further, competitive concepts were created in the autumn and have been adopted successfully by dealers.
To mark the 50th birthday of the endless wardrobe, an attractive product range for special customer needs has been developed: TIME in crystal white – for all those who require new furniture for their bedroom without delay. It consists of the bed model nocto plus, cube change cabinets and the wardrobe model base, and can already be shipped to its new owners after eight working days.*
All manufacturer services for custom builds have been brought together under the programmatic name INDIVIDUAL. "Naturally, end consumers also benefit from this restructuring," explains Leo Lübke, "we can now fulfil many special requests more efficiently and cost-effectively. In addition, and this also applies to external communications, we are deliberately building on our core competence: making tailored furniture that integrates itself perfectly into the surrounding architecture, right through to complex layouts or sloping ceilings."
