A folding armchair for the Rai Auditorium in Turin, designed by Carlo Mollino & Aldo Marbelli, 1951, tubular brass base, foam upholstery with original red velvet covering, folding seat, height 87 cm, width 60 cm, depth 64 cm, height of seat 43 cm.
This chair was part of the overall design of the Auditorium Rai movie theatre in Turin, one of the most important room decorations of the 1950s in Italy. Today, the whole building is protected as a cultural monument. The seating, however, has been replaced.
