Exclusive ambiance and particularly variable rooms accommodating any event are the hallmarks of the Bayer Kasino in Leverkusen, constructed in 1912. Elegance and flexibility also ranked high among the requirements for the new furniture last year. That’s why the interior designers selected tables and chairs made by Brunner.

Originally built as a canteen-cum-lodgings for upper management, the Bayer Kasino, built in Art Nouveau style, today is run as a company canteen by Bayer Gastronomie – also serving as restaurant and venue housing events with up to 700 guests. Splendid halls flooded with light and several rooms, each representing a special theme, provide a truly unique atmosphere.

The perfect ambiance for Brunner tables and chairs

In order to be flexible for variable use, the halls were equipped with new furniture in 2013. The responsible architects of Bayer Real Estate called on the interior design company “neueRäume” to find suitable items. High quality, comfort, functionality, variability – these characteristics were sought after. At the same time, the furniture should blend in effortlessly with the historic ambiance.

Following extensive sampling, elegant seat shell chair fina and versatile folding table sleight, both made by Brunner, were selected. “These high-class, warm furnishings are a perfect match for the beautiful ambiance of the historic rooms”, says Lena Gladbach, planner at “neueRäume”, citing good reasons for their decision in favour of Brunner furniture.

Different size table tops increase flexibility

With its throughliner upholstery, slim fina provides comfortable seating – while being lightweight and stackable at the same time. Folding table sleight also fulfils all requirements of the interior designers and the restaurateurs operating this discerning location: sophisticated design, easy handling, ideal use of space and a great variety of deployment options.

As an additional overlay for the sleight table tops, Brunner manufactured different size HPL table tops featuring a wood veneer look, allowing for an even more versatile use of the sleight tables as well as providing a prestigious effect even when used without table cloths. Amidst the large-scale ambiance, there’s even room for only two: meeting at versatile central-column table torino with its straightforward design.
