For years now, antoniolupi has been experimenting with materials of different types and origin. At the 2011 ISH, it will be presenting for the first time a washbasin in Ceramilux, it is a new synthetical material extremely glossy with which it is possible to obtain shapes and thicknesses that are no feasible with pottery.
Wanda puts forward the simple idea of living an intimate bathing experience while keeping a relation to the surrounding space. The design emphasizes the comfort throughout the border that rises up to create a backrest which protects and supports without occlusion.
The choice of a shiny material unified with the curved surfaces creates an interesting play of reflections, altering the perception of the volume of the object. The generous internal dimensions allow a full usability, even for two.
