This is a highly-simple modular pergola with many compositional possibilities which creates large shaded areas during the day and lit areas at night by using the Vía Láctea street lamp repeatedly.

The formal compositional options are infinite as we have discovered surprising applications in linear and circular groupings. The versatility of the Vía Láctea has made possible the construction of large areas which are shady during the day and well-lit at night.

It is a modular pergola with very geometric but simple lines, in galvanised steel, a wooden grid and equipped with standard fluorescent lamps. It is a discrete unit with the highest-performance lighting system.

The structural unit is made of a set of Vía Láctea street lamps. Each pergola module is made of eight grids redwood pine wooden strips, high-pressure treated against water and fungus, making up a area of 18 sq.m. This is supported by a heat-galvanised steel structure. The positioning of the double Vía Láctea street lamp at one of the ends provides excellent night-time lighting both under the pergola and in perimeter areas. The pergola is supplied disassembled in five components: the column, the pergola structure, the wooden grid, the screen and the lamps. Installation is completely mechanical, without welding, and uses stainless steel screws. As an option, the pergola may be delivered painted. Assembly instructions are included with the pergola. The column is fixed using concrete cube, made on site, and screws with mechanical block (not included) with the foundations laid below ground level. The foundations should provide a slot for the electrical connection. Moulding comes with the columns. Normal part replacement and maintenance.
