Tratto Vorhangstoff von Kvadrat

Linea, Ombra and Tratto are designed by Marlene Holm Jensen and are made in Trevira CS – Ombra and Linea each in 4 striped colourways and Tratto in 5 colourways in a strongly textured, curled yarn.
The designs are a further development of Marlene Holm Jensen’s final assignment at “Danmarks Designskole” (the Danish design school) in 1999, where the assignment was carried out with fishing lines. It was not possible to carry this material over into the industrial context, but using single-ply thread in the weave has retained the light and airy linear patterns as well as the great transparency of the final assignment.
The universe is the inspiration for Marlene Holm Jensen: stripes and surfaces in the atmospheres of the planets, together with the lightness and floating, diffuse ambience surrounding the subject. The intention was also to create designs in colours and materials that would contrast or interact with the room and its fittings.
