SIRIMIRI von Ofita

The collection of public use benches designed by King & Miranda Design is made of aluminium. Sirimiri was born of the idea of curving a surface to make it assume a fluid, comfortable and sensuous shape. A shape which is comfortable to sit in and sensual to look at from any angle. The challenge of Sirimiri is to request very light elements - extra-thin aluminium plate and air - to behave as extremely robust free-standing structures capable of withstanding substantial efforts thanks to their interior composition and surface curvature. This technique of shaping and lightening aluminium allowed thickness to be minimised and length to be maximised at the same time as the weight and number of supports per element were reduced. Sirimiri presents a wide range of backless, backed (medium and high back) models. Available in aluminium, wood, polyurethane and upholstered finishes. Arms, end tables and structures fastened to the wall complete the range.
