The BowWow ballet flat shoes are a joint venture between Kartell and Moschino and were presented at Pitti W in June 2010. They will be sold exclusively in two-tone version with black uppers and white bows on the Moschino and Kartell e-commerce websites from the end of November 2010. The colorful, lightweight BowWow ballet flat shoes are made entirely from interwoven plastic finished off with the iconic Moschino bow. The BowWow shoes are manufactured by the design brand Kartell with an Italian industrial moulding process using a top-quality, non-toxic thermoplastic technopolymer which is 100% recyclable.
The shoes, which are part of the Spring/Summer 2011 collection, will be available from next January in red, white and black, plus a wide range of Summer colors – peach, geranium, forest green and periwinkle blue.
“The synergy between Kartell and Moschino is rooted in the creative and experimental identity of the two Italian brands, which has led them to work together on projects that extend from design to fashion and vice versa. The “Bow Wow” shoes are a result of this reciprocal influence and are both a design object and an accessible, fun fashion accessory”, commented Rossella Jardini, Moschino’s Creative Director.
Lorenza Luti, Kartell’s Marketing and Retail Manager agreed: “Kartell’s successful partnership with the world of fashion, which commenced several years ago with the ‘Mademoiselle à la Mode’ project, in which leading names in fashion (including Moschino) interpreted Starck’s iconic chair, has now made a perfect marriage with the brand that is closer than any other to Kartell in terms of characteristics such as wittiness, lightness, inventiveness and colour”.
The Moschino Kartell collection will be on sale from January 2011 in leading multibrand boutiques, single-brand Moschino stores and Kartell flag stores throughout the world with a price of 85 euros.

Kartell Previews its First Pair of Boots for the Autumn/Winter 2010-11 season
Kartell’s unstoppable research into plastic materials has led it to realise footwear very much in demand by the public and sales all around the world.
After the Glue Cinderella ballet flats and the Lady sandal, here comes Sofia, a pair of “Wellington” boots, in plastic of course, ideal not only to take on the rain, but also for taking walks around town, thanks to its chic tapered shape and thin 5cm wedge heel.
Suitable for getting around town in style without minding the bad weather, perfect worn with a pair of body-hugging jeans, Kartell’s new, knee-high Wellies boast riding-school style side tongue with front coming up to a different height.
The plastic material the boots are made of is soft as leather, so they feel soft and are comfortable and practical to put on.
The polished wedge, in a different colour than the boot, contrasts with its opaque texture.
The Sofia boot shall be available for the Autumn/Winter 2010-11 season in the following colour combinations: black/navy or navy/black, olive/dove grey or dove grey/olive and dark brown/black. In addition to these, there will be an all black version.
The little star that distinguishes every Kartell footwear collection shall also be on the sole of the Sofia style... to leave a princess-like mark even in the rain!

Open-toed sandals characterised by towering 9 cm wedges and platforms. The wedge heel is elegant and slim with a sinuous feminine shape. The star logos impressed on the sole and heel are the hallmark of the collection. The plastic material gives that soft and supple feeling. The Lady sandals come in a wide range of colour variants, both in plain colours or two-tone. The 2011 spring/summer collection plays with “safari” nuances - bone white, dark brown, dove and peach to which a dash of fluo watermelon is added.
