Platone is Plato’s younger and larger brother, made of solid wood and three times longer. Like Plato it is a seating surface, a bench, a sidetable but also a coffee-table, and a stackable container. Like Plato it is obtained from a precious material further enhanced by industrial craftmanship; as opposed to Plato it chose the warmth and familiarity of wood as its material language, exalting its qualities in an extremely modern plastic form. If the appeal of Plato is its being carved out of a single block of marble, Platone shows the beauty of masterfully assembled solid wood. Plato and Platone can be combined and stacked in a striking juxtaposition between marble and wood.
Multi-functional piece that can be used as a bench, sidetable, stackable container. Platone is made of solid or moka ash wood with bottom pad made of natural red wool felt. Platone can be combined with Plato in modular compositions.
