Swedish company Abstracta is continuing its collaboration with Tengbom to create innovative products and furniture for functional, modern office environments. Meet, a combined mobile seating unit/wastepaper basket, is designed not only to serve a practical purpose in the modern office, but also to encourage people to hold impromptu meetings and to promote teamwork.

The product is easily manoeuvrable, allowing users to simply wheel their Meet to wherever they need it when, for example, they want to sit together in a temporary working group, work on a colleague’s computer, or sit down and chat over a cup of coffee in the staff room.

Meet features a body covered in a white-painted, moulded veneer and rubber-coated wheels with white sides. Inside it contains two wastepaper basket holders, which can easily be reached via the folding seat.

The seat is fitted with a detachable, upholstered cushion and covered with fabric. In developing Meet, Abstracta has produced yet another innovative product for creating a mobile and flexible office space. Users can simply move it around to rearrange their workplace to suit their needs and take advantage of its benefits for holding impromptu meetings.
