Knot comes from a reflection on the similarities that exist between the contemporary lifestyles and those of nomadic communities. The nomads called home everywhere they spread out a rug. Looking around I realized that today, in an ever evolving world, more rugs are needed. The rug becomes a symbol of continuity between what we leave behind and what we will face. An emotional object from which we do not want to be separated from. Vases, medallions, lamps and freehand drawings of ironic and unusual objects decorate these rugs, made from wool by Sardinian craftsmen. The pattern comes to life, knot after knot, through the traditional technique of manual loom of Villamassargia.
