The constant search for sober, minimal design, characterised by pure geometric shapes that are, however, deeply rooted in a prestigious historic and artistic tradition, should be understood as a focus on men and their needs, which are not only practical, but also aesthetic: indeed, lighting appliances are by no means separate from the surrounding environment, but, rather, become themselves architectural elements contributing to the beauty of the environment and the pleasure of those living in it. This is the concept that inspired GOTHIC, a bollard featuring a unique, square-shaped design, whose slender lines and acute angles - in spite of their modernity - remind of Gothic style, thus representing the ideal solution for classical and modern architectural styles alike. GOTHIC features metal halide and LED light sources up to 70W: the upper part of the appliance has been conceived to ensure a purely optical function, i.e. “capturing” light and orienting the light beam extremely accurately. Lights flows down from the source and slides on the smooth surfaces making up the upper part of the appliance. From there, it directly reaches the ground, opening up into a clean, well-defined beam, without however touching the base and the central part of the bollard: the resulting light effect is highly decorative and characterised by the dynamic combination of light-shadow contrasts, capable of highlighting the features of any architectural environment - be it the hall of a prestigious, luxury hotel or the Medieval square of an ancient town.
