The idea behind the About A Chair-collection has been to develop a chair with conspicuous simplicity. The ambition has been to combine form, function, comfort, detail and aesthetics.

About A Lounge Chair has clear references to the rest of the family. The low lounge chair is open and inviting to dialog whilst the high lounge chair has the function of a comfortable nest. About A Chair is the product of close collaboration between designer Hee Welling and HAY aspiring to create a family of chairs so versatile that there can be one suitable for any location or home – private or public – without compromising quality and perfection
