Amanda Levete trained at the Architectural Association and joined Jan Kaplicky as a partner at Future Systems in 1989. Future Systems is an architectural practice with a mission to rejuvenate contemporary building practices. It is known for its innovative structures, unique application of construction materials and courageous architectural schemes. Some of the buildings the company has designed include the media centre at Lord’s Cricket Ground, which received the Stirling prize in 1999, the Floating Bridge in the docklands and the extraordinary Selfridges building in Birmingham.
