DJOB Montanagroup
DJOB designs and produces desks which fulfill all the requirements of the modern workplace. DJOB's range of products is based on the work desk Arne Jacobsen designed for the Nationalbanken in 1971, which DJOB has developed further and still produces.
Established in 1998, DJOB, with its managing director, Joakim Lassen, continues five generations of family tradition in Danish furniture design. Joakim's great-great-grandfather, Fritz Hansen, founded a company under his own name, and Joakim's grandfather continued this tradition. Before Peter Lassen, Joakim's father, established Montana – famous for its unique shelf system – he was managing director of Fritz Hansen.
DJOB's products are designed in close cooperation with a number of well-known architects and designers. Together with Stefan Wewerka, a German architect and artist who is well-known internationally, Peter and Joakim Lassen have designed functional, height-adjustable work desks for the company. Through many years of cooperation with Henrik Leander, a famous architect known for his innovative design in vegetable fibres, DJOB has designed a lectern and a multi-purpose desk. Last year Joakim Lassen and Arkitema, a firm of architects situated in Aarhus, designed a table for Arkitema's main office, and recently DJOB's cooperation with Schmidt, Hammer and Lassen, a firm of architects, has added yet another desk to the collection.
DJOB focuses on the aesthetic and simple appeal of the designs and the possibility of various combinations in order to meet the customers' many individual requirements for comfort, aesthetics, and flexibility. DJOB's hallmark is that functionality must always go hand in hand with a sustained and simple design. Furniture must always provide opportunities, not boundaries.
DJOB's work desks and conference tables have been chosen by many companies, including Oticon, Ferring International, NCC, Dansk Design Center, and Masterfood.
