Il Hoon Roh studied architecture for five years in Architectural Association in London where he received an AA diploma. After working in Foster and Partners and later LDY under Ken Yang, he resumed his studies in design in Royal College of Art, London, where he received his Design Product Masters degree in 2007.
In 2004, Il Hoon Roh has won British Cement Association Award and also became the international winner for International Concrete Design Competition 2003-2004 in Europe by proposing architectural concrete structures titled “Non-directional Special Skeleton Structure.” This work was published internationally in the same year. These previous investigations later became the foundation for the furniture design series launching in 100% Design 2007.
Il Hoon plans to work as an architect (Foster and Partners, London), product and furniture designer in the future.
