A double-front bench without backrest, named after the folded electrically joined mesh that makes the bench shine as the skin of a yacaré (american crocodile). The Diana Cabeza bench investigates the possibilities of stainless steel seats and exploits the ergonomic characteristics of the oval.

This seat was designed by Diana Cabeza for testing the possibilities of the stainless steel mesh as material for urban furniture. It is ideal for institutional public or private common spaces.

The folded stainless steel mesh forms an ergonomic, oval seat, open in the bottom. This resistant material does not need any more reinforcement to create a comfortable seat whose descending bottom increases the user?s comfort and allows the use of the two fronts of the bench. The stainless steel tube legs are tied up two by two with a section that traces in the bottom the continuation of the oval.

The Yacaré bench displays a formal simplicity and the expressivity of texture of the steel mesh. When viewed against a luminous backdrop, the Yacaré shines like the skin of a “yacare”, the name for the american crocodile which grows up to a length of 2.5 m. Diana Cabeza’s designs are rest or getting together elements, which stimulate life together.

Electrically joined folded mesh seat. Support structure made of stainless steel. Stainless steel tube legs with black polyamide fixed tips. The bench is delivered assembled unless specified. It is placed freee standing on the ground.
