Because EJ 600 is built without an exterior shell, it appears as an independent organic body, a muscular organism which comes across as a pure example of design, but with a relaxed appearance. The sturdy dimensions of the seat, back and armrests form a harmonious whole, which gives a sense of weight in contrast to the graceful, conic legs which create a floating unity and emphasise the horizontal lines. In 1996 EJ 600 was launched again to meet the growing demand for fully upholstered sofas which had a more solid look. The element version of the sofa, named Landscape, was also shown at the launch.
