Tradition and modernity come together in this piece, with its own brand of Nordic classicism: like the ring of Saturn, a circular metallic shade orbits around a milky glass ball held by a metal support. It is suspended from the ceiling by three cables.
The large conical ring that circles the clouded globe is an oddly opaque diffuser that irradiates light due to the reflecting qualities of the metal, while at the same time concealing the smoky glass globe, creating extraordinary flying shapes in the upper reaches of the room.
In spite of the sculptural nature of the metal object, this hanging lamp produces a sensation of lightness, sending out a pale discreet light.
