Following the design Eames' had originally produced in plywood, this leg splint is constructed of enameled aluminum. It is not clear how many of the aluminum splints exist, but only a few examples are known. A copy of the label reads ''Splint, Leg, Adult, Plywood (Aluminum Substitute).''
