Only eighteen "Oxford" chairs were constructed in laminated rosewood, of which twelve remain around the Fellow's Table in the refectory of St. Catherine's College, Oxford. Also known as the "St. Catherine's" high-back chair, this small group represents the first edition of the "Oxford" series, which would be mass-produced in several formats by Fritz Hansen.
