About zuii
Based in Melbourne, Australia, the studio evolved from a desire for personal expression in their work and is founded on the notion that design should be impassioned, provoking the emotions, feelings and behaviour of those who come into contact with it. Whilst mainly working on self-initiated projects involving furniture, lighting, home ware and graphics, they have also been commissioned by a wide range of both private and commercial clients, challenging people to rethink how they view everyday objects.
Each designer contributes different experiences, different skills and disciplines resulting in a true synergy of ideas. Their design has a personal language, injecting wit and irony into the design process. On one side is the understated and disguised, on the other, the bright and noticeable, alluding to both the hidden and visible strength of an object.
