Zeitraum is something personal: the enthusiasm for a material which meets our every demand:
It lives, smells good, feels nice, never looks the same and is therefore unique. It is honest and characterfull when treated correctly and with respect for its strengths and weaknesses. That's why we let its character come to the surface instead of hiding it under a layer of varnish.
We appeal to people who appreciate what wood is. A cultural asset.
One of the oldest and most fascinating materials.

Each piece of Zeitraum furniture is unique
Working with solid wood demands both a knowledge and a love of the material.
ZEITRAUM uses healthy timber, worked by experts according to its own characteristics.
The timber for each piece is individually selected and combined making it unique in terms of colour and grain. We use deciduous timber from replaceable stock - currently beech, oak, maple, cherry and walnut.

It's all on the surface...
ZEITRAUM furniture feel smooth and smell natural and fresh.
High quality oils and waxes are massaged into the finely sanded surfaces, leaving the open pores of the wood free to breathe, to absorb and give off moisture, whilst at the same time affording them the best of protection.
The special glow of our timber is an invitation for both hands and eyes to follow its unique structure and grain. It doesn't matter whether warm or cold, wood always feels comfortable.

Zeitraum is not trendy, but is always modern
If you don't want to go with the flow you need ideas. Our idea is quite simple - quality. We don't follow fashion but are steered by our feeling for the material,which is good because its originality allows it to meet our changing requirements.
Our design is a tribute to simplicity, to the purity of the materials, the constancy of form. The result of this process is products that last more than a lifetime.
Zeitraum furniture doesn't age, it matures.

Zeitraum isn't just furniture, Zeitraum is an attitude to life and the things around us.
The objects which accompany us through life should have character, whilst also being practical, adaptable and unobtrusive.
They are a mirror and an expression of their owner, a servant and a friend.
Our furniture is attractive because it is of good quality not because of designer frills. It impresses without dominating - exciting in its simplicity.
