Nigel Coates was invited to design a complete collection for Fratelli Boffi’s stand at the 2008 Salone del Mobile. He engaged with F.lli Boffi’s unique heritage and plethora of traditional skills to create the Scubism collection. Parts were selected from their archive, subverted and adapted to create a body of distinctly modern furniture pieces. The Click Clack captures the spirit of the collection in a single dining chair; the back is taken from another chair design and reversed, while the front legs are lifted from an armchair of much larger proportions and cut down to size. It is available in a variety of colours and wood finishes with the seat upholstered in linen.
