SILATEC have been working with glass for 25 years. SILATEC Security Glass is safer than armoured glass - but thinner and lighter. The secret of SILATEC - The composite material, a mixture of glass and polycarbonate.

Conventional armoured glass consists of glass panes with intermediate layers of synthetic material. The more glass, the more robust the pane, but also the thicker and heavier. What’s more, the inherent colour of the glass stands out more, distorting the original colour of jewellery and paintings.
The Different at the SILATEC Security Glass is that only the outer sides are made of glass - White glass. Unwanted colour effects can thus be avoided.
The special synthetic material which SILATEC use to laminate there panes makes the glass resistant to impact and bullet-proof. Polycarbonate is impact-resistant and isn’t even half as heavy as glass.
