RIEDER. A success story with challenging targets and focused strategies for a sustainable growth. Rieder follows a selective growth strategy considering the guidelines of revenue optimisation and financial idependence.
INNOVATION. A family-owned Austrian company with a clear committment to the European community which shapes the continuous change of the environment with innovative products and services in terms of infrastructure, ecology and concrete architecture.
RESPONSIBILITY. The success is based on qulification, motivation and responsibility of every single employee within the professional framework in the company.
SUSTAINABILITY. The economical use of natural resources, environment friendly production procceses and a sustainable business development are the basic principles for the long term success.
2008 - Investments in new production technologies - focussed market activities
Innovative production technology Investments in addition production technolgies enable the realisation of projects with complex forms and structures. State-of-the-art production facilities extend the fields of application for fibreC and provide the architects a new scope for devlopment. Rieder opens a new era of creative concrete production.
Focus on strong partnerships Rieder is dedicated to strong partnerships in all levels of archictecture, installation as well as solid partnerships in the fields of R&D and innovations management.
Strategic Market Development The successful expansion in Europe, North America and Australia will be consistently continued in cooperation with the efficient best in class partner network.
Architecture engages with the interaction between contrasts and often creates a new reality from fantasies. New mediums with regard to contours, colours and textures of surfaces evolve.
With fibreC elements, architects have a product at their disposal which allows these visions to be realised. fibreC facade panels exist to cover buildings like a skin made of concrete - opening entirely new possibilities for modern ventilated wall design.
Concrete skin cladding gives buildings a new aesthetic appearance and reclaims concrete in the form of glassfibre-concrete for modern facade wall design.
The compact and flexible skin adjusts to any shapes used in buildings – be it curves or straight lines, slanting or straight walls, roofs or wall surfaces – there are no limits to creativity and creative implementation.
Interior and exterior surfaces fuse into one spatial unit. Concrete skin can create the impression of a building that has been cast in one piece.
Since we spend a big part of our lives in interior spaces, the requirements to individual and functional interior design and healthy living conditions have increased tremendously.
Concrete skin can fulfil any wishes, and as a result of its unique properties, fibreC is a most attractive material for interior spaces as well. The application of concrete in interior spaces opens completely new and undreamed-of dimensions.
Modern and puristic at the same time, concrete skin blends perfectly into interior spaces and lends them a pleasant, warm and homelike atmosphere thanks to the diversity of colours and textures.
The technology and production processes of glassfibre concrete have been perfected for decades and tested practically for more than 30 years. A special extrusion process incorporates layers of glassfibre into a concrete matrix; in the top layer and underlayer the fibres are undirected and scattered, in the medium layer they take the form of roofings (fibre bundles). The omission of steel reinforcement allows the construction of “slim” concrete elements which are highly stressable despite being extremely thin-walled. The result is an extremely thin slab with 8 to 13 mm thickness, which is very light-weight, yet has a high flexural strength. The slabs are fabricated in the different colours before being hardened for 28 days.

fibreC has shown oustanding results regard construction biology and ecology in the IBO product test:
- Fire Protection due to non-inflammable facade cladding - Product is largely made of mineral components (more than 95% of fibreC consist of sand, cement and glass fibres) - Good eco-profile during manufacturing (details see below) - No adverse health or environmental effects if used according to product specifications - Problem-free waste disposal - Integration of Security, Healthy and Environment into Strategy and Quality Management - Initiatives for the implementation of intra-company environmental goals - Environmental management system ISO 14001
