Business Unit Methacrylates, attached to Degussa's Specialty Polymers Division, is a pioneer and specialist in methacrylate chemistry with its trademark PLEXIGLAS®. With our solid, multi-skin and corrugated sheets, tubes and rods made from PLEXIGLAS®, we are one of the world's leading manufacturers of acrylic.

The breadth of applications of our product range, marketed by the Business Line Acrylic Sheet, extends from glazing in private buildings and greenhouses, to industrial buildings, illuminated signs and exhibition stands, from bathtubs and shower trays to tanning bed covers, from noise barriers to large-scale aquariums and from complex technical parts to attractive furniture.

Our products are distributed both directly to the processing industry and via a dense network of distributors. A versatile, close-meshed and rapid distribution system ensures the availability of our products everywhere in Europe and in many other regions of the world. In America, Business Unit Methacrylates is represented by CYRO Industries, with its own production sites and distribution system.

State-of-the-art, highly efficient production lines are available at our plants for manufacturing cast and extruded products.
