ArGeTon® is the registered trademark for the terracotta façade plates for the back ventilated, insulated terracotta curtain wall façade developed and brought onto the market some years ago by the manufacturers which are members of the Terracotta Façade Association e.V. of Bonn. The Association - a co-operative foundation of several leading German roof tile manufacturers - functions as the brand name association in this instance, and provided such basic requirements as technical data, including the standard dimensions for the tile plates, as a shop standard, as it were.
Two single plates of fired clay with head, base and run-off ridges are connected by means of pins to form an ArGeTon® Tile Plate. They are available in the colours salmon pastel red, tuscan red, natural red, red brown, light grey, platinum grey, iron grey, volcano grey, sand and sahara. The dimensions of the plate are between 300 and 450 mm in length, and 150 and 250 mm in width; the thickness is 30 mm.
