Since 1991, approx. 130,000 m3 or approx. 43 million m2 of thin HDF/MDF raw boards in thicknesses ranging from 2.0 mm to 6.0 mm have been produced annually at the Herzberg site, originally a sawmill established in 1876 which was replaced by a hard fibre board factory in 1949. These boards leave the factory in a raw or fabricated form; fabrication includes sanding, cutting, lacquering (on one side or both sides), drilling, punching, milling and folding.
The modern and continuous 18 metre long, 2150 mm wide press installation is designed for the production of thin HDF/MDF raw boards.
